1. Overview
sourcerightnow.com ("Platform") facilitates transactions between independent buyers and sellers. Since the Platform acts as a marketplace and is not a direct seller of goods, refund eligibility and procedures depend on the specific terms agreed upon between the buyer and seller for each transaction. This policy outlines the general framework for refund requests and the role of the Platform in the process.
2. Eligibility for Refunds
You may be eligible for a refund in the following circumstances:
- The product received is materially different from the description or specifications provided in the listing or agreed-upon quote.
- The product is defective, damaged during shipment, or does not meet the quality standards specified in the order.
- The seller fails to deliver the product within the agreed-upon timeframe and you no longer require the goods.
- The order was cancelled before the seller began production or shipment, in accordance with the seller's cancellation policy.
3. Refund Process
To request a refund: (a) contact the seller directly through the Platform's messaging system within 7 days of receiving the goods; (b) provide clear evidence of the issue, including photographs, documentation, and order details; (c) work with the seller to reach a resolution. If the buyer and seller cannot reach an agreement, either party may escalate the dispute to the Platform's support team for mediation. We will review the evidence from both parties and make a determination within 14 business days.
4. Refund Timelines
Once a refund has been approved, processing times depend on the original payment method: credit/debit card refunds typically appear within 5-10 business days; bank transfers may take 7-14 business days; and other payment methods may vary. The seller is responsible for initiating refunds for amounts paid directly to them. For transactions processed through the Platform's payment system, we will process the refund after the seller confirms the return or approves the refund.
5. Exceptions
Refunds may not be available for: (a) customized or made-to-order products, unless they are defective; (b) perishable goods, unless they arrive damaged or spoiled; (c) products that have been used, altered, or damaged by the buyer after delivery; (d) disputes raised more than 30 days after delivery; or (e) situations where the buyer provided incorrect shipping information. Individual sellers may have additional conditions specified in their store policies.
6. Platform Subscription Refunds
If you have purchased a Platform subscription (e.g., premium seller membership), you may cancel your subscription at any time. Refunds for subscription fees are prorated based on the remaining unused period of your current billing cycle, unless otherwise stated in the subscription terms.
